EMC with granulated micro-activated carbon in a fluidized bed
The Würi WWTP in Regensdorf is the first large-scale application of Techfina SA's new "granulated micro-activated carbon (μGAC) in a suspended bed" process in Switzerland.
It is a robust, simple, and space-saving process for eliminating micro-pollutants.
A suspended layer of granulated micro-activated carbon (μGAC) serves as the filter medium.
To protect the waters of the very small Furtbach stream, the Wüeri WWTP must eliminate at least 80% of micro-pollutants from its wastewater by 2025. These stringent legal requirements for effluent values are met with this innovative process.
