About Techfina
We have been around for 60 years - long enough to make this brief.

We are always customer-oriented and provide extensive consultation so that optimum solutions can be found in collaboration with all our partners. We only use high-quality key components. Combined with our in-depth knowledge of the wastewater treatment processes, this guarantees our customers highly reliable systems and plants. Biological treatment
One of Techfina's core competencies is the construction and equipping of the biological stages of wastewater treatment plants. In more than 40 years we have successfully brought over 100 plants into operation.

elimination of micropollutants
The elimination of micropollutants is the youngest requirement for wastewater treatment. Techfina SA is involved in the large-scale development and implementation of innovative processes. All our processes also separate and retain solids and eliminate phosphorus.

EMC with granulated micro-activated carbon in a fluidized bed
The Würi WWTP in Regensdorf is the first large-scale application of Techfina SA's new "granulated micro-activated carbon (μGAC) in a suspended bed" process in Switzerland. It is a robust, simple, and space-saving process for eliminating micro-pollutants. A suspended layer of granulated micro-activated carbon (μGAC) serves as the filter medium. To protect the waters of the very small Furtbach stream, the Wüeri WWTP must eliminate at least 80% of micro-pollutants from its wastewater by 2025. These stringent legal requirements for effluent values are met with this innovative process.
