GWF MessSysteme AG is the leading Swiss company for measuring, collecting, and managing consumption data for electricity, natural gas, water and heat. Our substantial experience in highest-precision measuring instruments, the deep expertise of our employees as well as the patented GWFcoder® technology allow us to provide revolutionary smart metering solutions which contribute to a sustainable use of energy. GWF solutions are modular and standardized data interfaces guarantee interoperability with all established system components as well as future communication technologies.
GWF is a family-owned company with around 200 employees and over a century of metering experience. We have evolved from a trusted measuring instrument manufacturer to an innovative solution partner for measuring systems and metering data management.
For us, tradition and innovation are not a contradiction in terms, and so we are consistently developing into an innovative system and service provider in the measurement of valuable resources. We work directly with electricity, gas, water and heat suppliers and are also active in the field of building technology and building automation. sonico® EDGE DN50 – DN300
Sonico® EDGE has been developed for highly accurate flow measurement of potable, industrial and service water. The product concept is modular and flexible in terms of overall mechanical design and communication. Sonico® EDGE is equipped with the latest GWF 4D technology® . To manufacture the sonico® product line, GWF invested in a world-leading production test bench ‘LUZ1’. The test bench was installed in early 2018 as one of the most accurate production equipments in the world. Currently, the overall production and quality system is put in place to manufacture the sonico® product line for applications in the commercial and industrial domain.

Acoustic Flow Measurement
GWF is at the forefront of innovative flow technologies, products and solutions. We measure anywhere: in rivers, channels, and partially filled or pressurized pipes. Ultrasound propagates through fluid media as pressure waves. Our instruments are able to convert information gained from measuring the behaviour of these waves into flow speed. There are two main measurement principles on which our instruments are based. Applying the Transit Time technique, we measure the time of flight with and against flow direction. When using the Pulse-Doppler effect, our instruments record the change of the signal frequency reflected by a particle in the flow. MTKcoder® MP compact
The well-established GWFcoder®-system reads the absolute mechanical register value precisely and reliably and provides the data through standardized interfaces. The number wheels with three various long, asymmetrically arranged slots are being scanned through light pipes which are connected to five light emitting diodes (LED).

Electronic volume converter EK280
The EK280 electronic volume converter can be used with all gas meters and also records the original meter readings with the absolute encoder counter. Integrated pressure and temperature sensors calculate the standard volume using the operating volume and the state and compressibility numbers. Both battery and mains operation are possible. The integrated, event-driven data memory supports three independent archive functions.

UDRIVE is a digital product developed by GWF AG that aims to offer an easy and seamless solution for collecting the readouts of your meters. This multi-energy solution is working with a wide range of meters that are Wireless M-Bus. UDRIVE is perfectly adapted for the billing purposes of municipalities or energy providers and is able to work with many ERP system. This application is working together with the INFINIO cloud platform.

Ductus - For fully filled pipes
Ductus – for pressurized pipe applications Extreme low flow measurement accuracy in combination with industry leading dynamic range, maximize flow capture. Your large diameter flow measurement and custody transfer billing will become much more reliable. In wastewater treatment plants, Ductus will help you to capture low velocities and will optimize your management of capacity needs, biological processes and sludge returns.
