ACO Stormclean filter shaft – efficient, compact, sustainable
The ultimate solution for rainwater treatment. This technical filter removes particles (GUS), heavy metals and organic pollutants (pesticides, PAHs, etc.) from surface runoff. It can be used as a TFI (technical filter) in accordance with SN 592 000 both before infiltration and before discharge into water bodies. Compact and efficient, it meets the highest standards and can be easily integrated into traffic areas. With simple maintenance and minimal space requirements, the ACO Stormclean is the future of rainwater treatment.

Sponge City: The Future of Urban Planning with Green-Blue Infrastructure
In times of rapid population growth and increasing climate change, innovative approaches to urban planning are more in demand than ever. One promising vision for sustainable and resilient cities is the idea of the ‘sponge city’ in conjunction with the concept of green-blue infrastructure. The sponge city is an urban planning approach in which cities are designed as ‘sponges’ that are able to absorb, store, filter and release rainwater in a controlled manner. This concept was developed in response to the growing challenges of urban flooding, pollution and heat waves. The idea behind it is to mimic natural water cycles and thus reduce the burden on conventional urban drainage systems. Green-blue infrastructure, a key concept of the sponge city, combines natural elements such as green spaces, parks, wetlands, watercourses and artificial elements such as rainwater management systems, storage basins and green roofs. This integration of nature and technology not only creates an aesthetically pleasing environment, but also a range of ecological, social and economic benefits.

ACO Drain Stormclean
IInnovation meets proven technology: ACO Drain Stormclean ACO combines its many years of expertise in gutters with advanced filter technology to present the new ACO Drain Stormclean – an intelligent filter system for decentralised rainwater treatment. The latest member of the Stormclean family removes coarse and fine particles (GUS) in a multi-stage cleaning process using pre-filters and fine filters. Activated carbon can be integrated as an option to bind organic pollutants and further improve water quality. The system offers safe drainage with an emergency overflow and enables both direct infiltration and connection to existing systems. Thanks to its compact construction (compatible with ACO channels NW 150 mm) and maintenance-friendly design, fast, cost-efficient maintenance of the filter element is guaranteed.
